At Big Lake Appliance Service, customer satisfaction is our top concern.  We believe that customer service is about making sure you are happy every step of the way.  From the moment you call one of our Customer Care Specialists, to the moment one of our expert technicians has your appliance working again.  We have procedures in place to ensure your appliance service experience is hassle and worry-free.  Every service call is pre-screened and parts come with our technicians, so your appliance can be fixed right the first time.  Sometimes we will need to order parts and we will schedule our return visit on the spot. We know your time is valuable and we aim to get your appliance fixed right, fast and the first time.

Bo Williamson

Bo has been in the appliance service business for over 23 years.  Starting out working for his dad in Northern Michigan doing sales and delivery, Bo found his passion in fixing appliances and building friendships with his customers.  After a move to Grand Rapids, Bo honed his craft while working for a couple of the most well respected service companies in the area,  where he became an expert in refrigeration and appliance repair.  Bo and his wife Anne have four boys and have been active volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America™  for the past 20 years.  They enjoy attending their children's band performance and sporting events.  Bo enjoys backpacking with his family and friends and loves nothing more than spending time with his boys fishing at Nana's cabin up North.


Anne Williamson

Anne is a familiar voice on the phones a few days a week and manages our extensive inventory of factory original parts.  Her main duties include making sure your parts come on time and and ready for scheduling. She also works part time at a farm school working with preschool age children. Her hobbies include making hand crafted quilts for family and friends, paddle boarding, playing with her very busy Mastiff Jersey and spending her summer days with her feet in the sand at the Big Lake!!



Toby Joined our team in 2022 after a long stint as an owner of his own appliance repair business on the lakeshore. Besides being an  excellent communicator , he truly loves working on appliances. Toby is married with 2 beautiful little girls and together with his wife, they are Teen Ministries leaders at their church.  Toby enjoys hunting and playing basketball in his free time, although admittingly, with his growing family, its hard to find the time.


Mitchell joins us as a Technician, more information to come!



John Hawkins, a Master Electrician, Joined us in 2022 to become our new Installations Manager.  John joins us after a lengthy career as a licensed journeyman electrician and maintenance supervisor in the Grand Rapids area.  He is tasked with developing our delivery and installation team from the ground up all while providing professional electrical services for our appliance customers.  John attributes a lot of his leadership and teaching abilities to his time serving as a a soccer coach at West Catholic and Coopersville where he helped guide those teams  to multiple championships.  Nowadays, John enjoys his time doing overnighters with the grandchildren, traveling the world with his wonderful bride, and playing golf weekly with his son and father.


Carter joins us as an Installer, more information to come!



Kristen is our Senior Customer Care Specialist and Warranty Administrator.  She joined our team a year ago after spending several years with a tier two Automotive supplier. Kristen is here to answer your calls and make sure all your scheduling needs are met.  She is a mother of 2 active boys and spends many fall and spring days watching them play baseball. Summers are spent enjoying their pool with family and friends, attending concerts (specifically Dave Matthews Band), going to Whitecaps or Tigers games. Kristen and her family love their trips to Drummond Island to visit family and love dining with friends and enjoying Craft Beer.



Brynn returns to us after a couple year break caring for her four children during the pandemic.  She comes to us as an office administrator and relief help on phones on our busier days.  Her main responsibility will be to serve as a quality control coordinator, making sure we can follow up quicker and more often with customer issues and research warranty and part issues quicker.


We had an issue with our brand new LG washer that required a service inspection. Big Lake was assigned to our case. Within a couple of hours of our call to LG, Big Lake called us back and organized a relatively quick service date. Bo came out exactly on time found the problem and ordered a replacement part. It took 2 weeks for the part to ship (a supplier issue, not Big Lake's) but Bo returned to complete the repair soon after the parts arrived in Muskegon. Bo and the support staff at Big Lake were exceptional and I will be calling them for any future appliance issues at my house. 5 out of 5 stars.

The technician they sent out, Dylan, was very professional and explained the problem and fix very well. It took 2 visits because of the part. We understand that that is an issue everywhere. Overall we were pleased with this company.

Well after talking with the owner, Bo, he was able to explain things on his end. He was honest, cordial, and very much apologetic. His first priority was making things right. Bo said he would send a refund check to me of the extra fee that the technician tagged onto our bill, and I believe he will follow through. Thank you for correcting this for us.

Bo repaired my Kenmore Elite refrigerator freezer. Compressor was bad. He was responsible, educational and respectful. I will use Big Lake Appliance for future jobs as needed. Kenmore would have serviced it 4 weeks later. Thank you for Big Lake Appliance.
